The rules for using AKAISO. Please read them. The most important points: only check websites you own or are authorised to manage, AI advice can be wrong, and no tool can promise a website is completely secure.
1.About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] (“we”, “us”) for using AKAISO at https://akaiso.com, its API and its WordPress plugin (together, the “service”). If you use the service for a business, you accept them for that business.
The acceptable use policy, the privacy policy and the data processing summary are part of these terms.
2.What the service does
AKAISO helps you find and fix security problems on websites you run. It includes:
- a free check that reads a website’s public pages, certificate and DNS records;
- regular checks, issues and reports for the websites you add;
- a WordPress plugin that watches code files and site activity and reports them to your dashboard;
- alerts by email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord or webhook;
- AI features that explain problems and write a security review;
- optional fixes applied through your Cloudflare account, if you connect it.
Features differ by plan, and we may improve or change them over time.
3.Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure.
- A workspace can have several members. The workspace owner is responsible for what its members do in it.
- Keep API keys and plugin connection keys secret. Anyone with a key can act for your workspace within that key’s permissions.
- Tell us quickly at [Contact email] if you think your account has been misused.
5.Acceptable use
You must follow the acceptable use policy. In short: only your own websites, no abuse of the service, no attacks on others.
6.Plans and billing
- The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are subscriptions, billed in advance through Stripe for the period shown at checkout.
- Prices and plan limits are shown on the billing page. We give [Notice period] notice before a price change affects you.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Your paid features stay on until the end of the period you have paid for, then the workspace moves to the Free plan.
- Refunds: [Refund policy]
- If a payment fails, the workspace may move to the Free plan until it is paid.
- Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise.
7.AI features
The assistant and the AI security review are written by an AI model. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check advice before you apply it, and keep a backup before changing your site or server.
AI output is guidance, not a professional security audit. You decide which changes to make and are responsible for them.
8.Changes made to your site
Some features can change settings for you, such as Cloudflare fixes or the plugin’s security headers. They only run when you switch them on, and you can undo them. Test your site after any change.
9.No guarantee of security
The service reduces risk but cannot find every problem or stop every attack. Checks can miss issues or report ones that are not real. A good grade does not mean a site is secure. Keep your own backups and updates.
10.Your data
You keep all rights to the data you put into the service. You allow us to use it only to run and improve the service for you, as set out in the privacy policy. You confirm you have the right to give us the data you send, including your site users’ activity data from the plugin.
11.Our property
The service, its software and its brand belong to us or our licensors. The WordPress plugin is licensed under the GPL version 2 or later. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
12.Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may pause it for maintenance or to protect it.
13.Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data or a security breach of your website.
As far as the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
You are responsible for claims that arise from you checking or connecting a website you were not authorised to.
14.Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time. A workspace admin can delete all of the workspace’s data in Settings → Delete workspace data. Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone. Your subscription is cancelled immediately; the rest of a paid period isn’t refunded. To remove the organization and its members too, first delete the workspace data, then delete the organization in your account settings. Deleting the organization alone doesn’t cancel billing or delete data. For help, write to [Contact email].
We may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts the service or others at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first. After closure, data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
15.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give [Notice period] notice of important changes by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
16.Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Country]. Disputes go to [Courts with jurisdiction], unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your local courts.
17.Contact
